I believe organisations do not create value from data. They create value through better decisions.

That simple idea has shaped my executive career for more than two decades and forms the foundation of my DnA of Decision Making Framework.

Throughout my career, I have helped organisations transform data into one of their most valuable strategic assets—not by focusing solely on technology, but by building enterprise capabilities that enable leaders to make more informed, confident and timely decisions.

As an executive leader in Data, Analytics and Decision Intelligence, I have led the development of enterprise data strategies, governance frameworks, organisational intelligence capabilities, modern analytics platforms and AI-enabled decision-support environments across complex organisations. My work has consistently focused on integrating strategy, governance, information management, analytics and emerging technologies into cohesive enterprise capabilities that improve organisational performance, strengthen governance and support executive decision-making.

I believe that modern organisations need to move beyond traditional Business Intelligence. Business Intelligence helps us understand what happened. Decision Intelligence helps us determine what should happen next.

That shift—from reporting to decision-making—is the focus of my work.

The DnA of Decision Making was developed from a simple observation.

For decades, organisations have invested heavily in collecting more data, building larger data warehouses and creating increasingly sophisticated analytics platforms. Yet many continue to struggle to convert those investments into better organisational outcomes.

The reason is simple.

Data does not create value.
Insights do not create value.
Dashboards do not create value.
Better decisions create value.

The DnA of Decision Making reframes Data and Analytics as a decision capability rather than a reporting capability. It provides an executive framework for integrating governance, intelligence, AI, organisational capability and execution into a cohesive decision ecosystem that enables organisations to make better decisions with greater confidence, speed and trust.

Why This Matters

The challenges facing organisations today are becoming increasingly complex.

Artificial Intelligence, workforce shortages, digital transformation, cyber security, changing customer expectations and growing regulatory obligations all demand better organisational decisions.

I believe the next generation of enterprise leadership will be defined not by who has the most data, but by who builds the strongest decision capabilities.

That is the work I am passionate about.

Although my executive career has been built in Data and Analytics, my focus has never been data itself.

It has always been organisational performance.
